【Hamuya News 2026/10/08】National Day is coming up soon!!

Hi!! It’s Takky!
The other day, I went to a karaoke in Taiwan, and I was pretty shocked to find out that for just 138 yuan on top of the karaoke fee, you get a buffet and an all-you-can-drink bar!

By the way, there were about 800 Japanese songs on there, but about 95 percent of them were from more than 20 years ago. Since I like older songs too, it wasn’t a problem for me, but it might be a bit tough for younger people.
Well, that’s about it—time for the Hamuya Newsl! 📣
Today’s Announcement
Today’s announcement is about National Day!!!!
Tomorrow, October 10, is Taiwan’s National Day (National Foundation Day), also known as “Double Ten Day.”
It commemorates the “Wuchang Uprising” that took place on October 10, 1911. This uprising sparked the Xinhai Revolution, leading to the fall of the Qing Dynasty and the birth of Asia’s first republic. In Taiwan, celebrations are held every year on this day, including commemorative ceremonies, military parades, and spectacular fireworks displays across the island.

Aside from Taipei, it looks like there will be a fireworks show in Taitung and a dinner party in New Taipei City this year.
It seems there won’t be any fireworks shows or similar events in Tainan, but Pingteng has put together a list of October events.

Today’s Weather
High: 31 degrees, Low: 24 degrees
It’s starting to feel a little chilly in the mornings and evenings, but it’s still hot during the day 👕

The other day, I tried the beer that Hamu-san recommended.
It was a strong beer that really hit me with the alcohol right from the first sip. (8%)

I got a little carried away and drank too much, so I got drunk right away… Drink in moderation!
Stay safe today, everyone!
