【Japanese Karaoke in Tainan】If you want to sing anime songs in Tainan, you’ve gotta come here!

Heyyy! It’s Kokoty!!
I’ve already been in Taiwan for half a year….!! The other day, I went to renew my working holiday visa (I had almost forgotten about it 😅), and it really hit me that I only have six months left in Taiwan.
It made me feel a little sad….
BUT at the same time, I’m also starting to miss Japan~~~~!!!!
It’s been six months since I came to Taiwan, and lately, I’ve been feeling a little homesick for Japan…
So this time, I went to one of the few Japanese-style karaoke places in Tainan to make myself feel like I was back in Japan!
Here’s the story(^▽^)/
Japanese Karaoke in Tainan
Here’s where it is!!! ☆彡
⏰ Weekdays: 12 PM–11 PM / Weekends & Holidays: 9 AM–11 PM
It’s about a 15-minute walk from Hamuya. It’s not exactly close, but it’s definitely walkable!
The shop is on the 4th floor of the building, but the elevator only goes up to the 3rd floor, so you’ll need to take the stairs from there♪

This is the Japanese-style karaoke place I’d heard about!
It looked a little mysterious, so I hesitated for a second before going in (lol). But when I pressed the doorbell, a really friendly-looking staff member came out, which immediately put me at ease.
Here are the prices~!

There are two types of rooms!!!
・大廳:Shared Space
(A living-room-like space where you sing together with other customers. It’s also more affordable, so I recommend this option if you’re coming alone!!)
・包廂:Private Room
(A private room, just like a regular karaoke room. If you’re coming with friends, I recommend this one!)
If you choose a private room, you can also choose between two karaoke machines!
There are two options: F1 and MAX. Apparently, MAX has more music videos available.
I used F1 this time, and while there were definitely a few more obscure songs that couldn’t be played, (I’m guessing you can still play just the MV in those cases?)it was only a handful of songs. So honestly, I think F1 is totally fine too!!
You can bring your own food, but there is a NT$30 cleaning fee per person.
Also, if you want to bring your own alcohol, you need to contact the shop in advance, so keep that in mind~~!🍻
(No alcohol is allowed in the shared space.)
📣 How to Make a Reservation
If you’re singing in the shared space, you don’t need a reservation.
However, reservations are required for private rooms!!
You can contact the shop through their Instagram or Facebook account.
①予約日時②時間③使用予定時間④機種
⑤名前⑥電話番号
① Reservation date② Start time③ Expected duration④ Karaoke machine⑤ Name⑥ Phone number
Just send them the information above!! Once you receive a reply from the shop,
好的,已為您登記完成!(your reservation is confirmed!!)
Once you receive a reply from the shop, your reservation is confirmed! (o^―^o)🎤✨

Singing Time 🎤

Here we are, singing away. Looks like we’re having fun! (^▽^)/

Here’s what the private room looks like!!
It felt so spacious with just the two of us that I almost didn’t know what to do with all the space(😂)

Since this is a Japanese-style karaoke place, it’s only natural that the machine was JOYSOUND, but I was still so impressed that I could type in Japanese just like I normally would(😂)
It was so much fun~~!
After Karaoke…
Speaking of what to do after karaoke in Japan…

Of course, it has to be sushi!!! Right? (o^―^o)
(Or is it just me…?)
So we went to Sushiro near Xiaobei Night Market♪
Sushi really is the best…..

And of course, we couldn’t resist getting some mango shaved ice too.
Before going, I was thinking, “Well, we’re just going to karaoke, so it’s not like I’m actually going back to Japan~~” But it honestly made me feel like I had really gone back to Japan!
So if I ever get homesick while I’m in Tainan, I think I’ll definitely do this little routine again (^▽^)/!!!!
You should definitely give it a try too~~!
Well then! Stay safe out there, everyone!!!! 🍃
