Recently I’m little bit tired. ( ˘-˘ )

But, even if I feel tired, I can think I might be able to pull this off just walking and eating at Tainan, Taiwan.
Tainan has the power to cheer us up📣❣️

So, today I want to tell you about the charms of Tainan I discovered after actually living here in Tainan.

Tainan, with its tropical climate.🌴🥭⛱️🌺

Here is the weather of 15th, October, Tainan.

It was 10℃ different from Tokyo on the same day!

I always happy because I really love summer(>ω<)I’m soaking up tons of serotonin☀️🌟

Today is also super sunny☀️🌲So refreshing!!

Take a short walk and enjoy some mango shaved ice!🚶‍♀️🥭

When I woke up today, I was feeling a little low on energy.

So, I went to eat mango shaved ice(＾ฅ＾) 🥭I ordered it with apple cider!🍎

The ice part of shaved ice is made by milk; it’s so rich taste!
It’s piled high with mangoes and is incredibly satisfying to eat.

I was in a good mood when eat all. Sweets always makes me happy♥

Just a short walk away, you’ll come across a cultural heritage site.🏯😯

Here’s a look inside the Confucius Temple (孔子廟)☺

Since it’s a temple dedicated to the god of learning, I expected a solemn atmosphere,
but it actually had a very laid-back vibe!🍃

People were reading on the benches inside the grounds or enjoying tea on the café’s patio (fourth photo)…

I think this kind of relaxed atmosphere is another part of Tainan’s charm ☺

Drink milk tea every day🧉

Taiwan has plenty of drink stands! You can enjoy cheap and delicious tea and black tea, also fruits juces ☕

It’s also great that you can customize the sweetness and amount of ice.ヾ(｡>﹏<｡)ﾉﾞ✧*。

The local food is super delicious!!!😋🍴

Tainan is, without a doubt, a foodie’s paradise! It’s full of delicious cuisine(ˆ~ˆ)

My absolute favorites are seafood congee and rice cake (Taiwanese sticky rice).

A long-established restaurant founded in 1973. Their specialty is seafood congee!
It’s packed with an abundance of incredibly fresh seafood—shrimp, squid, clams, oysters, and more🌊
The sweet, flavorful broth combined with the rice’s satisfying texture makes for an absolutely delicious dish.

If you’re ever in Tainan, you absolutely must try this!!

📍Luo Cheng Rice Cake/落成米糕(right)🥩🥚
A famous, long-established rice cake*¹ shop that has been selected for the Michelin Bib Gourmand*² for five consecutive years!
Deliciously seasoned glutinous rice. It’s topped with sweet minced meat, fish flakes, pickled daikon radish, and soybeans.
Once you try it, you’ll be hooked ❤
The duck eggs simmered in the dish are also exquisite, so be sure to order them 📜

The townscapes are so cute💞

When you see a townscape with an exotic feel abroad, you really get that “I’m overseas!” feeling, don’t you?

Tainan is characterized by its exotic charm combined with a nostalgic and charming streetscape!
There are many buildings with a Showa-era vibe, giving the city a nostalgic feel reminiscent of old movies.🎥

Plus, the whole city is colorful and charming. You’ll often see local ladies walking down the street wearing bright vivid red or pink T-shirts.

Everything from the street signs to the shops is just so cute (✿◕‿◕✿)♡
